When I read this secret, it made me think of my grandparents. They had such a zest for life, love and family. They were two of the most amazing people that I have ever met in my life and I hope to aspire to be like them when I get older. RIP Grandpa Mary and Nonno. Ti amo Nonno e Nanna. Ti penso sempre!
Here is this week’s favorite secret from the PostSecret.
Every Sunday, I am going to try to post my favorite secret from the PostSecret blog. PostSecret is an on going community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a postcard. I was first introduced to PostSecret two years ago when I went to a friend’s house for dinner. She had the PostSecret: Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives on her coffee table and I was immediately drawn to this book. I opened it and was completely intrigued by the stories that were being told by the secrets and art on these postcards. The emotion that the secrets unfold is both shocking and beautiful.
I applaud the brave people who have sent their secrets into Frank and I applaud Frank for starting this amazing art project. Since then, I have been hooked on PostSecret. I own two of Frank’s books and attended PostSecret Live (thanks to my friend Jen) where I got to see secrets that didn’t make it into the books, hear secrets from the audience and where I got to meet Frank and get his autograph! That night was such an amazing night.
If you are reading this and have not heard of PostSecret, I encourage you to pick up one of his books the next time you are in Barnes & Noble and/or check out his website and blog.
So without further ado, here is this Sunday’s Secret. Enjoy.
