It’s no secret that I have a passion for non-profits. Over the years I have either volunteered or fundraised for various non-profits on a regional or local level. I have fundraised for the American Cancer Society (Relay for Life), the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the New Hanover Regional Medical Center Pink Ribbon Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and the Junior League of Wilmington. The last two years I have volunteered with the American Heart Association (AHA)- Cape Fear Chapter and it has been an amazing experience to be apart of that organization. During those two years, I have worked on the auction committee for the AHA Cape Fear Heart Ball and that has been such a treat, so much that I am joining them again for the 2013 Ball!
So I’m up to it again…but this time I am pouring my ‘Heart & Sole’ into raising money for the American Heart Association’s Cape Fear Heart Walk. I was asked by my Heart Ball committee chair to join their 2012 Heart Walk Team and I couldn’t be more excited. With that said, I need your assistance in helping me reach my fundraising goal for this year’s Heart Walk (October 2012). No donation is too small and every little bit helps! To donate, simply click on the link to my personal fundraising page (http://bit.ly/RY7BKn), click GIVE NOW and enter in the amount you wish to donate. It’s that easy and in a matter of seconds, you have just helped to save a life!
I have found my passion in working with non-profits and this will be something that I hope to continue to do for the rest of my life…maybe even make a career out of it. Fingers crossed!
Thank you again!
